Girls Swim and Dive in Middle of Championship Season

By Hunter Sullivan ’20

The Regis Jesuit Girls Swim and Dive team is well underway into their championship season. It all started last week with C-Leagues on Friday. The team swam again on Saturday of last week, with five new girls making their A-league qualification times.

The girls have been training hard all season and they come into this weekend looking to qualify for the State meet, which will take place next weekend. The A-league meet kicks off tonight at 4:30 at Heritage High School, with finals taking place tomorrow morning starting at 8:30.

At the State meet last year, the Regis Jesuit team had a strong showing and was able to finish fourth. The girls are currently ranked sixth in 5A and they are looking ti improve on their State results from last year.

Come support your girls swim and dive team as they look forward to the State meet next weekend.
