Walking up to the tee, the boys golf team pushes all of their stress away. Focusing on hitting a drive that will knock out the competition. The boys golf team is one like no other. What set’s them apart from the competition is the irreplaceable brotherhood among the players. With an unshakeable brotherhood and a passion for the game, they can accomplish anything.
Cal McCoy, a Regis Jesuit graduate, drove the team to victory after he shot a “3-under-par 69 in the third round of the Junior Americas Cup” According to “Sentinel Colorado”.
On July 26, 2018 McCoy not only used his skill he learned from the great coaches here at Regis to win the game, but also his friendship.
Andy Soechtig, a junior currently here at Regis Jesuit, recently had to have an appendicitis surgery. He can no longer play golf for the varsity team but he still goes to the games and practices to cheer on the other players.
”It has been difficult ending my golf season early, but it has still been a good experience cheering on my team even though I can’t play” Said Soechtig
Everybody on the team checks in with Soechtig making sure he is alright and supporting him even though he can’t play for the team. The Raiders boys golf team, is a brotherhood like no other.
