GTA V: Now for PC

The long awaited PC version of GTA V is being released March 24th. After several setbacks, Rockstar Games has announced that the game will be released late next month. After a very successful release of the next gen version of the game, Rockstar has been working nonstop to make the PC version better than ever.

The objective of GTA is to drive around, shoot people, and take their money. Players can do anything from race jet skies to break into a military base and steal fighter jets. Gameplay has, until the next gen release earlier this year, been third person. Earlier this year, Rockstar used first person view for the first time, which is just one of the many improvements made to the game. The PC version will include 4k display support and mod support, among many other things.

In the past mods have been a huge part of GTA games. The community makes thousands of mods for almost any PC game, and GTA V will be no exception. Mods do as little as change the way the game looks, to as much as completely changing the storyline of the game, or even adding hundreds if hours of play time to the base game.

Many visual elements have been changed with the next gen and PC releases, the biggest of which is first person view points. Rockstar has never attempted a first person option in any of their games until this year.

“One thing that will be interesting to see too is the first person mode, which I’ve seen implemented in the PS4 and Xbox One versions, but I’m curious to see it for myself on PC,” says Junior Donovan Adrian.

Other visual improvements include 4k support, completely retextured vehicles, and a much further view distance.

GTA V will be available for $60 at all major game retailers, and for online download from Steam.

Update: The release date has been extended to April 14th to ensure that the game is polished and glitch free on day one.
