The bubble gives off an ominous look after an 5 A.M. before school

All swimmers dread it, when the alarm clock goes of and you have to drag yourself out of bed to get to the pool. You’re finally there and you make it on time for 5 AM practice.

DSA or Denver Swim Academy

, practices before school at 5 am most mornings. Among those swimmers is Connor Rosenbal ’17.

” I have to set multiple alarms,” says Rosenbal ” or else I’ll sleep through them.”

“I’m a night person, so swim is kinda the opposite of what I typically do”  says Rosenbal

Rosenbal does however tough it out in order to improve

“Yes, if you are also doing a lot of other practices. No if you’re just doing morning practices” says Rosenbal

So even with the ridiculous time of practice you can still improve a great deal with you give it effort. This can help you’re determination not only in swimming but at school too.

“I’d probably say helpful, mostly because working out feels good in the morning,” says Rosenbal

being more awake for tests, being able to have your blood pumping and being awake for so long, your focus can increase for school and life in general.

Swimming practices before any other sport does, and for that they deserve a little bit of recognition for dedication.

“I’d probably say helpful, mostly because working out feels good in the morning,” says Rosenbal

Rosenbal along with many other swimmers practice before some people are even waking up. This shows how much effort it takes to be a swimmer to get to practice along with being one of the hardest sports people can do. Pride, determination, and dedication are all accurate words one can use to describe a swimmer.
