Singers Shine at Spring Chior Conncert

On April 25th the choirs of Regis Jesuit performed their final concert of the 2022-2023 school year in the Z-Theater. The Spring Choir Concert was a smashing success, and recognized all the amazing seniors as they are about to move onto the next chapter of their lives.

Starting the concert of strong was Girls Division Chorus. They sang pieces of work including Antiphonal Kyrie, Morning Has Broken, Happy Together, Remember Me, and lastly How Far I’ll Go. The talent was overwhelming and left the audience in awe.

Singing next was Girls Division’s Chorale. They sang wonderful songs including, La Sopa de Isabel, You Raise Me Up, Girls Just Want to Have Fun, and Speechless. The audience went wild after every song performed by these talented young women. The sisterhood was shown that night as the girls honored their Senior. Sophomore Peyten Pack says, “She’s always just standing behind us ready to cheer us on.”

Next was Boys Division’s, Vox Lucis. The songs sung by these young men where, Misty Mountain, The Wellerman, Glimpse of Us, and When I Was Your Man. The boys started off singing a cappella standing amongst the audience, then traveled to the stage to perform the rest of the songs. This creative take was so fun to watch, and the audience erupted in applause afterwards. It was such a heartfelt moment when the Seniors were honored for their time with the Vox Lucis Choir. They will certainly be missed.

The Canta Bells sang beautiful pieces including Vuelie, Mueveme, For Good, and the Senior Medley. Senior Kate Klennert says, “I’m most looking forward to the Senior Medley, it’s a combination of five different songs that we’ve done throughout the years”. Saying goodbye to the seniors was such a heartfelt moment during the concert. There were many smiles, laughs, and tears as underclassmen said goodbye to their close choir friends.

Lastly, Vox Lucis and Canta Belles came together to sing, Found, Tonight, and From Now On. It was such an incredible performance to see, and everyone broke out in dance including the singers and Mr. Sauer. The audience gave a standing ovation at the end of the night, for a performance well done.
