On Thursday, April 23rd, Varsity Boys Baseball played Highlands Ranch in their Annual Lunchtime Baseball Game at the Regis Jesuit baseball field. With a score of 12-6, Regis takes home the win.
On a warm sunny day, the student section shows up during lunch to support their baseball team. The stakes are high and the stands are filled. The team proves that they are worthy of their number 2 spot in the state when they beat Highlands Ranch by doubling their points.
The lunchtime game is always something to look forward to. For seniors Christian Lopez, Pierce Martin, Brody Chyr, Matteo Momo, Will Houtsma, Bradly Schraymeyer, Colin Dwyer, Grant Weibe, John May, Trevor Nordstrom, Liam Mosley, Sam Morton, Gibson Cook, Jake Burnett, Micah Lui, and Noah Whitaker, it will be their last.
Pitcher Will Mosely, First baseman John May, Second baseman Chase Massey, short stop Noah Whitaker, third baseman Trevor Nordstrom, and catcher Grant Wiebe all work together to make this game a success.
Meanwhile, John May, Gavin Cronin, Brody Chyr, Christian Lopez, Jace Filleman, Colin Dwyer, and Justin Steinbeck play a crucial part of the game in the outfield.
The students in the stands cheer on their varsity team as they put 5 on the board at the bottom of the first, leading 8-0 soon after.
Raiders were happy to announce another lunchtime baseball game win for 2024.
