JV Boys Volleyball Faced off against Legend on April 27th. The final score was 2-0, Legend. As the Boys have improved over the year, the legend game was proof that they can still play strong through unexpected troubles. As the game began, the Regis boys only had 7 players there, A full starting lineup for Boys volleyball being 7. As the game continued, one of their players, Freshman Michael Schulenburg, suffered an ankle injury, putting them down to 6 players.
“Even though we only had 6 players for most of the game, we still played hard and I’m proud of the way our season has gone. Despite the loss we played as a team.” Captain Parker Hausknecht said after the game.
Hausknecht said that missing Schulenburg really affected how they played together and how they interpreted the rest of the game. Lossing a player affected how they thought they could play, but despite this they powered through till the end and performed well. Coach O said that she is proud of her team and how much they have progressed throughout the season. She stated that her captians were a huge part of how well they maintained a good and powerful mentality.
As Varsity watched, junior captain Callen Wolf expressed how much they have grown and improved throughout the year. Having Seen them since the beginning of the season, he claimed that Coach O had a huge effect on their improvement, as they practiced harder than any other team in the Boys Volleyball program.
