Three freshman girls who proved their skill to be good enough to make varsity give us an inside look at the challenges of being on Regis Jesuit’s lacrosse team. While on varsity these girls have had to face difficult challenges, hard practices and maturity to prove that they deserve a spot on the team.
The three girls Bella, Morgan, and Jasmine have shown determination, resilience, and perseverance. “It’s been hard, I’m tired,” Morgan Neir says. This shows the determination and maturity they need to be on this team.
While on the field these freshman girls have made a family like relationship. “It’s been really fun, the girls are like a family and they’re so supportive and it feels like I’ve known them forever,” Jasmine says. This relationship has helped the freshmen girls have a guideline on how to succeed on the team. In the beginning of the season these girls only had each other. But now that the season is over these girls have built a level of comfort with their fellow players.
During these hard games that the freshman girls play in they have to work together as a whole team so they can win the games. This grows the freshmen girl’s bonds with their older peers. These girls have been put through some extreme training so they can make it to where they are today. This would not have been possible without the people who support them the most, their family. Jasmine, Morgan, and Bella have all been playing lacrosse ever since they were little and the first time, they played lacrosse they knew that they loved it so much and ever since then they have been work towards getting better and better every day. Morgan, Bella and Jasmine will hopefully continue to thrive on varsity and get better by the time comes.
