Where rising stars make their mark. On May 5, 2025, the players of Regis Jesuit showed up and showed out at the 2025 College Coach High School Football Showcase.
They were accompanied by other players from other high schools across the state. Many of the players described it as “a great opportunity” (Luke Rubley) to be seen by all of the coaches. All players were seen completely multiple drills for about 20 minutes on Lou Kellogg Stadium.
While coaches were seen on the sidelines with their notes and roster sheets. Coach Fileman was seen talking to the coaches and players. Finding the coaches who specifically wanted the Regis players.
The Coaches could not talk to the player who were not yet in their junior year. It is a rule of the NCAA, however, if full scholarship is involved then that can change.
After speaking to the players of RJHS afterwards, they explained about how much fun they had during the Showcase. “Being able to talk to the other guys was definitely a highlight” said Dahntay Kouahi ’28. Although working hard, the boys were still able to have a good time.
This Showcase gives a much larger opportunity for High Schoolers to get recruited directly in front of coaches. Even if they are too young, they can get on their radar. Compared to older times where it was rare if a coach even came to watch one of your games freely. This gives the Raiders an upper hand in the NCAA. The main outcome of the Showcase and reason they had it was to give kids offers to play at colleges.
Our very own Luke Rubley ‘28 received an offer from Colorado State at the Showcase. He announced “After a great conversation with Coach Holbrook, I’m blessed to say that I have received an offer to Colorado State University. The Raiders are thankful for all of the opportunity this showcase brought for them thanks to the RJ Football Coaching Staff.
