“Jordan Spieth choked” is a very popular quote floating among Regis Jesuit High School.

The Masters at Augusta Golf Corse in Georgia is one of the most popular sporting events in the world. The best golfers from around the world compete in the first major golf tournament of the year.

The selected favorites to win The Masters included Rory McIlory, Jason Day, and Jordan Spieth who are currently ranked the top three players in the world.

With harsh playing conditions and mental breakdowns, many players were having trouble scoring under par, including number one in the world Jason Day.

By the end of the third round, or the fifty fourth hole, Jordan Spieth was in the lead with a tournament score of four under par. However, by the tenth hole of the last round Jordan was at seven under par.

However, Jordan suddenly shot a bogey on hole ten and eleven, and then quadruple bogeyed number thirteen with a score of seven on a par three. This gave the new Masters champion, Danny Willet, a comfortable lead.

Unfortunately for Jordan, he had to birdie three out of four hole to tie Willet. By the seventieth hole, Willet had a clear road to victory as Jordan bogeyed the hole.

In awe of his back nine, Jordan was very upset during interview as Danny Willet was on cloud nine.

Congratulations to the new Masters champion Danny Willet. Everyone is excited to see what happens at the next major golf tournament.
