Senior Spotlight: Madden McHugh’s Last Playoff Season

Madden McHugh is a four-year varsity girls basketball athlete at Regis Jesuit High School. Making any competitive varsity sport during your first year in high school is an impressive feat since you play with and against older and more experienced athletes.

During the 2018-2019 season, McHugh played 26 games and had 54 points total. Madden averaged 2.1 points per game and 0.5 assists per game.

In her sophomore season (2019-2020), she played 25 games, and scored 118 points, an average of 4.7 points per game, and averaged 1.7 assists per game.

Madden’s junior year, a year shortened by Covid, she played 13 games, scored 40 points, and had an average of 3.1 points per game, and an average of 2.8 assists per game.

Currently, she is in the middle of her senior year and has played 23 games. McHugh has scored 184 points, and has a point per game average of 7.8. and an assist per game average of 5.0. The season is still in progress, and we wish the best for Madden as she finishes out her season strong!

The Girls basketball team won in the first round of the playoffs. Team will play tomorrow at 7pm at Chaparral (3/1/22). Let’s all show our support and pack the stands for the game tomorrow night.
