Last Senior Insturmental Concert of 2022-23
Last Senior Insturmental Concert of 2022-23
On April 24th at 7:00pm Students and parents gathered in the Z Theater to support our performing arts. For seniors D’Andre Barnes ’23, Darens Bretous ’23, Isabella Charles ’23, Sebastian, Dogue ’23, Claire Robertson ’23, Seth Taylor ’23, and Karen Tochimani Lara ’23 it was their last instrumental concert where advanced jazz band, concert band, and orchestra played. Band Student Darens Bretons ’23 said he’s been in the industry since the 4th grade which makes band a big part of his schooling. To choose band for that long means music must be an important part in Darens life. Many other students have done many years in the music department and have done all 4 years here at Regis Jesuit. During the concert before the concert finale all seniors were recognized and were given flowers to.
Orchestra teacher Julie Bruchs said that this year’s students were very talented, dedicated, worked very hard to play the high-level music they played in the concert. She said it’s just great to get to know a new art form of music. Orchestra Student Samantha Hahn ’26 said that concerts are just one way that everyone can connect with each other. She said that everyone works so hard and everyone put a lot of energy into the music. They work so hard for people to listen to their music, so next time there’s a concert go and check them out and support them. You can’t have a concert without an audience after all. Having support is the biggest help you can give performing art student, having parents and friends there to support them makes it better.
