Regis Varsity Baseball Vs. Legend Titans

The Varsity Baseball team has rocked the season. Ending their season with a 16-7 record, they look to bring home a state championship with the playoffs beginning Saturday May 20th. Andrew Bell and Christian Lopez shared what they enjoy most about the baseball team and what makes the team so special. The team has been known to have a very tight bond both during the season and out of the season. Lopez shared, “All of them are my friends and we have a lot of fun both on the field and off the field.”

This past season the team took a trip to Las Vegas to compete against highly competitive teams. While competing there, they beat a high ranked team in Archbishop Moeller which helped to give the team confidence to use throughout the rest of the season. After returning home the team then went 10-4 and finished their season with a great win against Chatfield. Going into the state tournament they are ranked 3rd and hope to win another state title. Bell stated, “We have a chance to win state and get a ring,” which is something that the boys are very excited and hopeful about.

Another thing that the players shared about the team was the brotherhood. Both Bell and Lopez were not afraid to share how close the boys are and what they believe has helped them become so close. Last summer, the baseball team teams traveled to Mexico to build houses families in need. This not only was a cool service experience, but also was a good team bonding experience. Lopez shared, “It was a pretty cool experience just to bond with my teammates.” The bond throughout the team has only grown stronger since last summer and throughout the season. Bell shared that through their wins and celebrations the team has definitely become stronger. Which is exciting for the playoffs and years to come.
