Bomb-sniffing Dog visits GD Forensics Class

Seniors laugh and sigh in adoration of the lovely dog performing tricks in front of them. On Monday October 26 in Ms. Haag’s class a bomb sniffing dog and his partner are giving a guest demo for the girls. Casey’s partner explained her daily to-do list with Casey the labrador including their diets, exercise routine and extensive record keeping.

Casey moves over to the corner of the room as his partner instructs, sniffing determinedly and finding the area bomb-shell free. At a student’s request, Casey performs several tricks including a ‘high five’, rolling over, and ‘speaking’ with a sharp bark. Naturally, treats are mentioned during the description of Casey’s diet, and the seniors all laugh as the dog’s ears perk up at the word ‘cookie’.

Serving to be entertaining and educational, our guest gives an applause-worthy performance at Regis Jesuit.
