The Georgia Senate Election. It Is Not Over Yet.

After Biden’s win in the 2020 election in November a lot of people think we are done with that kind of stuff but that is not the case. Currently the United States senate elections is depending on Georgia and the decisions it’s citizens are going to make.

The political race between reupublican David Perdue and Democrat John Offset will determine how impactful Biden’s presidency will be.

The news source the Cut says this election is, “a vote that’s currently deadlocked and will have a major influence on policy over the next four years.”

This senate election will determine if Biden can truly do anything during his presidency because the senate decides what bills and laws he can pass.

The New York Times says this election, “will either swing the majority to Democrats, handing the new president broad power to carry out his policy agenda and push through nominations as he sees fit, or leave Republicans in charge, allowing them to influence his plans.”

Normally Georgia would have gotten it’s senate votes in at the same time as all the other states and we would have known the answer to this question by now but the reason why it is so much later is because neither candidate had the majority vote so they had to redo the election.

Although Georgia is generally a red state, NBC says, “a million voters have registered since the last election,” so both parties have a good chance.

Overall a lot depends on this election and as NYT says, “this election determines the United States political future.”
