Rowdy Up

Rowdy+Up

The Rowdies are the spirit of Regis Jesuit. They are at every game going crazy because they want Regis Jesuit to win, and they also want to keep the crowd excited. You may think that to be a Rowdy you have to be one of the most athletic people at Regis Jesuit. Running around, screaming their heads off, jumping up and down for three hours takes a lot of athleticism and energy.

The truth is, most of the Rowdies aren’t the most athletic people at Regis Jesuit.  One of the Rowdies, Ryan said, “most of the Rowdies aren’t actually athletic at all, most of us are awful at sports.” Ryan also said, “when we did play sports our coaches were probably thinking, wow these guys are awful.”

Ryan said that, “the swim coach would be thinking to himself, is that kid drowning?” The Rowdies aren’t Rowdies just because its fun to get crazy and dress insane, they do it because they want to show their support for the school. It doesn’t matter if most of them aren’t athletes, they do it because they have a passion for school spirit and they want to prove that Regis Jesuit is the best.

Being a Rowdy isn’t easy. The Rowdies go to every single football and basketball game. Even the away games! They devote their Thursday and Friday nights during the Fall to represent Regis Jesuit.

Each game the Rowdies dress up with new, crazy and unique outfits. There are all kinds of creative combinations. From cowboy hats and crab costumes, to construction hats and hockey helmets they put time effort and thought into what they wear to each game.

The Rowdies demonstrate school spirit unlike any other school in our community. They are what make the Regis Jesuit games distinctive and they drive student spirit in the stands.

In the Fall, there is a varsity football game each week. If you haven’t yet, I highly  recommend that you go to all of the games and catch the Rowdies in action. Go to the away games too! At Regis Jesuit we have incredible athletic talent on the field, and while not all are traditional athletes , the Rowdies show their own athleticism with their amazing spirit and enthusiasm.  If you’re going to a game, don’t forget to get pumped and most importantly ROWDY UP!

Good story, go through one more time and make sure all punctuation and spelling is correct then feel free to post.
