Speech and Debate is a great opportunity for new coming freshman to make new friends “I really enjoyed meeting new people that share the same interests as me. Being a freshman in that class has helped me to meet new people that are freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.” Explains Sabrina Jain a freshman in Speech and Debate.
It is a very cooperative experience were the kids help each other improve their debates an prepare for the meets. “The after-school practices help me to be prepared for the meets and to excel in my event. The varsity members are always very helpful in answering all of my questions that I have about my event.” Jain continues.
Speech and Debate is a club and class that helps students improve skills in school and life in general. “I have also become a more confident public speaker and I know that these skills will help me not only in this club, but also in the rest of my life.” Continues Sabrina.
This experience allows people to work in a pair and bond in that pair “we both have been helping each other through the process of learning this new event.” Jain explains. Helming each other helped them bond.
