Regis Jesuit Winter Jazz Night
One band, 17 members, nine songs.
On Wednesday December 2nd, Tim Sauer conducted the Jazz Band through their winter concert in the Z theater.
You could feel the joy in the theater as all the musicians came together and played their beautiful music in unison. Many of them took the spotlight, performing solo acts.
They started off the concert with a amazing tribute to Toy Story, and ended the night with a stunning performance of Soul Bossa Nova.
Jalen Inglemon, senior trumpet player, shared his experience from the performance, “I really like just being able to create music,” Inglemon said. “And having it all come out and sound good in the end.” His favorite song to perform for the crowd is What a Wonderful World.
Together they had the audience engulfed in their performance. Throughout the whole night they entertained and amazed not only the crowd, but also their conductor, Mr. Sauer. Much hard work, time, and passion was put into the performance.
The Jazz musicians put on a truly magnificent concert and Regis Jesuit is proud of them.
