The Weekends Super Bowl LV Halftime Show

The Weeknd performed in the Halftime show of Super Bowl 55 on February 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay Florida. He performed multiple of his hits and a couple of his new songs.

He started in the stands next to the Raymond James Stadium pirate ship. He made his way down and performed right on the field and they started to play a lot more songs with more choreography.

“Due to COVID and for the safety of the players and the workers we kind of built the stage within the stadium and we’re also using the field as well but we wanted to kind of do something that we’ve never done before,” The Weeknd said.

People were confused on why The Weeknd was wearing bandages to several award shows and wondered if he had plastic surgery done.

“The significance of the entire head bandages is reflecting on the absurd culture of Hollywood celebrity and people manipulating themselves for superficial reasons to please and be validated,” he said.

Eleven years ago The Weeknd was a mystery man making music in Canada. Sunday he performed on the most popular stage in the world on the Super Bowl.

“The Weeknd was purposefully anonymous, but now his face (when not hidden behind a cartoonish amount of bandages) is nearly as universally recognized as his songs,” wrote by Lauretta Charlton
