It was a solum spring evening when the annual Spring Chorale Concert stunned the stage of the Z
Theatre. Members of the GD Chorus, Regis Jesuit Chorale, Vox Lucis and Canta Belles excitedly
greeted their family members and friends moments before the house lights dimmed and the first
group took the stage. This year’s Spring Choral Concert was as captivating as it was emotional,
featuring the heartfelt final performances of the various music group’s seniors.
Having took place in late April, the showcase featured incredibly moving performances as well as touching
send offs from the Juniors to their Senior leaders. While reflecting on her time as a Canta Belle at Regis,
senior president OraVera Konadu-Achempong ‘25 recounts, “I didn’t think I was going to do choir for any more
than one year, but I stuck around because I found a really lovely community of people that I’m really grateful
to call my friends now.” Her, along with Chole Adams ‘25, held the honor of being Canta Belles Club
presidents for the 2024-2025 school year, their strong leadership skills and kind personalities leaving
a lasting mark on the girls below them. Heather Wember ’26 expressed her gratitude for Chole Tuesday night
in a hand written letter, “I want to thank you for being such and excruciatingly bright light in my life, besides
having the voice of a literal angel, and the looks of one, you have never failed to make me laugh.”
Along with the Canta Belles, underclassmen members of the Boys Division Vox Lucis also paid tribute to the
seniors in their life. In regards to his senior mentor, Emanuel Lozano-Espinoza ’26 has nothing but gratitude,
“Jaren, you have truly taught me so much, whenever someone speaks of you the word they use is talented.” The
Spring Chorale Concert was an exceptional display of Regis’ strong brother and sisterhoods.
