The Regis Jesuit High School community gathered with pride on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to honor five student-athletes from the Class of 2025 officially committed to continuing their athletic and academic careers on the collegiate level. This spring Signing Day ceremony marked a significant milestone for these students. This event was the final of three signing days for the class, bringing the total number of 2025 graduates who will compete in college sports to 41.
Charley Dutmer ‘25 will take his hurdling prowess to Marquette University’s Track & Field team. A standout in the 110m and 300m hurdles, Dutmer recently secured victories in both events at the Continental League Championships and is a state championship qualifier, promising a bright future on the collegiate track.
Haley Fears ’25 is set to bring her spirit and skill to Miami University as a member of their Cheer program. Fears has been a part of a historic Regis Jesuit Varsity Cheer team that recently advanced to the semifinals at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships for the first time in program history.
Abigail Frei ’25 will continue her Track & Field journey at St. Olaf College. A talented pole vaulter, Frei has consistently showcased her abilities, earning a spot at the State Track Championships and demonstrating the dedication to excel at the next level.
Hazel Pron ’25 is bound for the Ivy League, where she will play Rugby for Princeton University. Pron has been a force on the pitch for Regis Jesuit, earning CIRA All-State Second-Team honors and demonstrating exceptional skill and leadership in the rapidly growing sport.
Deagan Sarty ’25 will join the University of Kentucky’s Rugby team. Sarty has been a key contributor to the Regis Jesuit rugby program, known for his commitment and on-field presence, and is poised to make a significant impact at the collegiate level.

Students Hailey Fears ‘25 and Hazel Pron ‘25 reflected on their time at Regis Jesuit, explaining the unforgettable experiences and deep friendships made through their athletic careers. They then told us why they committed to their particular college, if they were going to miss Regis, and how it felt signing on this big day. “Hailey Fears ‘25: ‘It’s really exciting! I will definitely miss Regis and all my friends.’ “Hazel Pron ‘25: ‘It’s really exciting! I’m just glad I can continue my rugby career to the collegiate level.’ “Hailey Fears ‘25: ‘I chose Miami because I reached out to the coach, and he was really, really welcoming. It made me feel at home before I got there.’ “Hazel Pron ‘25: ‘Both academically and athletically, it worked with my schedule and what I wanted for the future.'”
