Right now, just think to yourself and contemplate this question. “What makes me unique and what makes me stand out from the rest?” This is what many people ask themselves when applying for college, and this is what admissions officers try to explore in order to find out who you really are.

But what exactly are they looking for? This has been a constant question and a question that eludes a person’s mind time and a time again.

When I asked some seniors what they thought, here’s what they said…
Geoffery Kelly says, “Colleges expect you to be very smart but also [they expect you to be a] person that is active in your community. ”

Here is what they are actually looking for…

1. Extracurricular Activities
2.Summer Jobs
3. GPA
4. Standardized test scores
5. college essays
6. Letters of recommendation

Hopefully, this gives some insight on what you need to do in order to fulfill your hopes to get into your “dream school.”
