It’s back. It’s finally back.

But what is “it” you might ask? Well “it” would be the snow. Yes, after a long and action packed summer, it’s time to get back out there on the western slope and click back into your boots. Ski season began a few weeks ago as Arapahoe Basin opened its gates to a huge contingency of winter sports enthusiasts. Keystone followed soon after, and the rest of the Colorado ski resorts are opening soon.

So what does that mean for us? Well for one, Colorado’s biggest tourist industry is heating up again, and the state can expect its major quarters of revenue to be coming. But it also means more traffic. Those four or five hour drive times are going to start returning, and we’ll all have to deal with it when we’re heading up to the high country.

But it’s ski season. How could you not be excited?
