The Wonder That is, Supernatural

The Wonder That is, Supernatural

The CW’s Supernatural,  is one of the most thrilling and action packed shows I’ve ever seen. Every moment of every episode keeps me on the edge of my seat with fear, or one of the many other emotions experienced while watching this show.

I was fortunate enough to have stumbled upon it while I was home alone one morning. Scrolling through the cable guide, I saw Supernatural in big letters. I have always been fascinated with “other worldly” things. Intrigued, I pushed play. That one click from the TV remote began the obsession.

Supernatural’s main characters Sam and Dean Winchester, are played by Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. The second I started watching, there was no doubt in my mind that these two actors weren’t playing characters, they were just Sam and Dean. Throughout the nine seasons, they have become better actors.

Sam and Dean have gone through many trials, losses, and “homes”. Both brothers have literally been to hell and back. The friends that they have met along the way are not forgotten easily, and they are brought in and out of the seasons repeatedly. The frequent flashbacks help you remember exactly what happened with these characters.

The Winchester’s lives as hunters requires them to move around a lot. The prey they kill are anything but ordinary. Instead they hunt  poltergeists, vampires, demons, angels, leviathan, and more. They are the definition of superheros, running around saving lives, having many love interests, but never having time to settle down and create an actual life for themselves.

Perhaps their larger than life personas are one of the many reasons that viewers fall in love with this show. As a viewer of this series, I never want this show to end, and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who has yet to watch.
