Regis Jesuit Girls Basketball Takes 2024 by Storm

We sat down with superstars Hana Belibi and Coryn Watts to talk about stepping into their new leadership roles on and off the court.

After the number 6 Regis Jesuit girls took down number 4 Arapahoe, we got to sit down and talk to leaders and also superstars of the team Hana and Coryn. We got to discuss how it feels stepping into their roles and leading the team. We also addressed their relationship off the court and how it plays out on the court. Hana said, “Coryn is like my best friend.” Coryn also said, “We are very close as people now.” They say this translates on the court, with them knowing when to be serious and also when to let loose and have a little fun. They both believe that their leadership and skills on the court are a vital role to getting back to the top.

We got to be around them and see how they interact with not only their coaches, but their teammates and also their peers. Their friendship really translates everywhere they go. They always have each other’s back and treat others around them with kindness and respect. Coryn and Hana both understand that it goes beyond the court. You can see it with how they carry themselves in public and at school, as well as other areas. Their number one thing they’re doing different this year is building a genuine relationship off the court with their teammates by doing bonding experiences outside of basketball like doing community projects and retreats to build team chemistry.
