Denver Broncos fans have been frustrated recently as quarterback Drew Lock has been struggling heavily. A 4-interception game against one of Denver’s biggest rivals, the Las Vegas Raiders, is the cherry on top of the Broncos’ disappointment in Lock.

In 8 games this year, Lock has thrown 7 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The Broncos have built a good team around Lock, so it is even more frustrating that they aren’t performing well.

“I want the team plane to leave Drew Lock in Las Vegas,” one frustrated fan exclaimed.

However, some fans still hold out hope for the sophomore QB because he has shown flashes, such as when he won 4 out of the last 5 games of the 2019 season and when he played pretty well in a win against the Dolphins last week.

“The Denver Broncos’ best chance for success, in my opinion, is still Drew Lock for 2021,” said another fan of the team.

Lock has shown some promise and his teammates seem to believe in him. One of his best friends on the team is his teammate from the University of Missouri, tight end Noah Fant.

When a fan told Fant that Lock wasn’t good enough, Fant defended him.

“No. No. No. No. That’s my QB,” said Fant.

Head coach Vic Fangio also seems to have faith in the young QB. Fangio became the Broncos head coach in 2019 and the team has started 3-6 in both of his seasons so far.

“We’re committed to Drew and the more he can play the better he’ll be,” said Fangio.

The media is less convinced that Lock will be the guy for next season. Many believe the Broncos should either trade for a quarterback or draft a new one.

“Unless Drew Lock makes a marked improvement over the last seven games of this season, his run as the starting quarterback should come to an end,” said Joe Rowles, a writer that covers the Denver Broncos.
