Regis Jesuit Theater presented their second showing of their rendition of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Saturday November 7 in the Z theater. Their fall play is a musical comedy. The show was sold out and the house was filled with an eager audience. The strong leading roles, Ethan Clock and Kate Anderson, made it a very successful performance.

The stage was set with a city backdrop, with a business room in front of it. There was an elevator on one side and a door on the other, and in the middle was a window with the letters WWW in a sign over it. The play was about the journey of a young man, Finch, who was learning to succeed in business from a book. The many characters involved are the people he meets and encounters along the way.

The actors kept up very strong performances throughout the whole show. Their energy really kept the audience engaged during the long play. The showing ran for a total of two hours and twenty five minutes. The intermission landed at about an hour and twenty five minutes into the show.

The show did have a few slip-ups, but not enough to really hurt the performance. There was an occasional microphone that didn’t work, or a prop that was a bit off, but overall the crew did their jobs very well.

The actors were also very good at reducing the amount of mistakes. Every once in a while someone would forget a line and have a little bit of a delay or be a bit off on the dance. These people recovered quickly and accurately to keep the play going.

Overall Regis Jesuit’s Theater put on a wonderful rendition of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and I reccomend that everyone see it this coming weekend on the 13,14, or 15 before it closes.
