How do you succeed in business?

Ethan Clock ’18, playing a key roll in the show known as Pierpont Finch , and Amaya Rios ’19, a singing secretary, expressed their feelings on How to Succeed in Business (Without Really Trying). The show was debuted on November 6, and came to a final show on November 15, playing a whole six shows here at the Z Theater. The time and effort put into this play payed off, as many students and people who attended the play acclaimed it was one of the most well put together and funnest shows ever.

Even many of the students in the play, such as Amaya and Ethan, had the most fun and felt as though that it brought all grades, genders, and rolls in the play much closer.

“In this show in particular, I felt there was camaraderie among everyone regardless of age, grade, or whether they were in cast, crew, or pit band,” Ethan said.

The crew spent a whole eight weeks of dedication to helping the play. Not only did the large rolls dedicate all of their time to this show, not even the characters, but the people behind the curtain making everything possible and also the artist putting together the setting.

Amaya said, “The amount of time we put into this show, made it so great to see it succeed (pun intended) knowing we had overcome that challenge, making it a fun show.”

“A lot of work goes into putting together a show like this. I think almost a hundred people were involved over almost eight to nine weeks every day after school. Not only does the cast have to learn all the lines and songs, the pit band has to learn the music, the crew has to build an amazing set and design costumes and props… So many people dedicated their time to this show, and I think it turned out great,” Said Ethan.

How to Succeed in Business was a great home opener for all the freshman to experience a well put together, curious, and fun play in the Z Theater.

“I loved working in How to Succeed. It was a really fun show,” Said Ethan.
