Freshman Friday: Claire Fitzgerald

Freshman Claire Fitzgerald

Claire Fitzgerald is mild-mannered, but underneath that humble exterior is a girl that spends her afternoons working hard at a sport she loves – dancing.

Claire spends about 17 hours a week at Michelle Latimer Dance Academy whether it be on her Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary or Pop dances and she loves it. This doesn’t leave much time for anything else, but she still says that she is involved in a variety of different clubs here at Regis Jesuit.

Understandably, this can also put a strain on time for school work, but it doesn’t bother Fitzgerald as she even says that the reason she chose Regis was, “the academics and when I shadowed here it seemed like a really nice environment and the people were really open to talk to you.”

She continues by saying that “the teachers are really nice and they care about you” proving that she has an aptitude for academics. The teachers aren’t the only thing that Fitzgerald is impressed by, however. She also says that the community here at Regis has been really good for her and made her feel welcome.

This Denver Christian alum is more than meets the eye, though. She says that a lot of people don’t realize that she likes to write on top of all of her other activities. She also says that being happy is something that is very important to her even citing her spirit animal as a dolphin because of it’s happy-go-lucky attitude.

Look for this girl’s big smile next time you are walking down the hall!
